Free software has an official definition <\/a>witten\u00a0and revised by the Free Software Foundation. Any software that follow the four freedoms described in the definition can be considered free, where the word “free” stand for freedom. If you miss one or more freedoms listed in the definition the software\u00a0is non-free!<\/p>\n

Music it is often considered “free” simply because you don’t have to pay to\u00a0download the music itself, but we think that this feature is not enough to call a song free<\/em>.\u00a0With the project John Option we set some rules that we follow in order to give to those who listen to our music the maximum freedom of use.<\/p>\n

We decided to<\/span> write<\/span> our rules<\/span> in a<\/span> personal definition of<\/span> free music<\/em>.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Free music definition<\/h2>\n

A <\/span>song can<\/span> be<\/span> considered free<\/em><\/span> music<\/em> if it complies with<\/span> all these rules<\/span>.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

  1. The<\/span> song can be played<\/span> without any limit<\/span> in any<\/span> place<\/span> and<\/span> context<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
  2. You are able to know how the song was made by accessing to the recording’s tracks<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
  3. The song can<\/span> be<\/span> redistributed<\/span> by anyone<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n

    You can use<\/span> any<\/span> part <\/span>of the song<\/span>, including the<\/span> recording’s <\/span>tracks, to produce<\/span> your<\/span> own song<\/span>, which have to follow this four rules<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
