All the music of John Option has been produced using only free software where \u201cfree\u201d stand for freedom (see list of the software used<\/a> by John Option). \u00a0Free software is software that gives the user four freedoms: the freedom to use it without any limitation, the freedom to study how the software works through access to the source code, the freedom to change the software to suit their needs and the freedom to redistribute copies of the software without limitations and without violating the law.
\nThe music of John Option provides to those who download it the same freedoms. Anyone can download, listen to and play the songs of John Option without any restrictions. The recording tracks, from which the songs were produced by John Option, are freely accessible and you can use them to produce your own songs. Users may redistribute the music of John Option, individual tracks and remix any of the songs themselves, in absolute freedom. That’s why John Option is Approved for Free Cultural Works<\/a>.
